30TH ANNUAL POSSUM 10K ROAD RACE
Race along the beautiful Chattahoochee River and qualify for the Peachtree Road Race. There’s even a Fun Run for the kiddies. $22 in advance for the 10K, which begins at 7:30 a.m.; $15 for 1-mile Fun Run, which begins at 7 a.m. Registration day price is $25. FATHER’S DAY GALA OPERA DINNER
City Grill celebrates Father’s Day with an evening of gourmet food, opera music and fundraising. COURAGE: THE VISION TO END SEGREGATION, THE GUTS TO FIGHT FOR IT
This exhibit tells the story of the Rev. J.A. De Laine and other citizens of Clarendon County, S.C. as they fought to end the legal segregation of schools. Their lawsuit was one of five that led to the Supreme Court case Brown v. Board of Education. On display through June 22 at the Atlanta History Center.
